Privacy Policy
1. The short version
Get YT Thumbnail processes all images locally in your browser. We never receive, upload or store the thumbnails you view or download, and we do not require any account or personal information to use the tool.
2. Data we process
Images: fetched by your browser directly from YouTube’s public image servers and converted on your device. They never touch our servers.
Analytics: we use Plausible, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that collects aggregated, anonymous usage statistics (page views, referrer, country, device type). No personal profiles are built.
Server logs: our hosting provider may keep standard access logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and maintenance.
3. Advertising
The tool pages display advertising served by third-party networks (currently Adsterra) and we use the Google Ads tag for conversion measurement. These third parties may use cookies, device identifiers or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, subject to their own privacy policies. We do not control the data those networks collect. You can limit ad tracking through your browser settings, ad-blocking extensions or your device’s privacy controls.
4. Cookies and local storage
The site itself stores only one value in your browser’s local storage: your light/dark theme preference. It never leaves your device. Third-party ad networks may set their own cookies as described above.
5. Legal basis (GDPR / LGPD)
We process the minimal data described above on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; Art. 7, IX of Brazilian Law 13.709/2018 — LGPD): operating, securing and improving a free tool. Where consent is required for advertising cookies in your jurisdiction, the ad networks’ own consent mechanisms apply.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection. Since we hold no personal data about tool usage, most requests will concern our ad or analytics partners — but we are happy to help: [email protected]
7. Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; significant changes will be announced on this page.
